As we watch the news concerning the dire circumstances the people are facing in Port Au Prince we also consider the eventual effect this will have on our people in the Northwest mountains of Haiti where LWM supports several villages. We have learned from experience that when Port Au Prince is cut off from the rest of the country, due to hurricanes or other disasters, it is only a matter of time until the food source in the NW is quickly depleted. Our people in the NW have no other substantial resources for food if they cannot have access to Port Au Prince. Living Water also recognizes that people will begin to migrate away from Port Au Prince to return to their original homes which include the Northwest as they recognize that living conditions in the rural areas will be more desirable than what they are facing now. This means we will see a dramatic increase of people into our villages which can develop into another crisis.

Living Water has arranged for 12 containers of food to be shipped to Haiti that we will use for our people in the Northwest. Those containers are scheduled to ship into a port that is north of Port Au Prince. We have all the details covered regarding the shipping and receiving, transportation to the NW and storage facilities to handle the goods because we do this on a regular basis. We need your financial help to cover the costs. We estimate those costs to exceed $100,000. All donations you make to the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund will be used for obtaining food, water, clothing, medical supplies and other necessities that are required to meet the needs of our people as a result of this earthquake. 100% of every dollar you donate will go straight to Haiti.

You can make your donations through our website at: www.livingwaterhaiti.org or you can mail your check made out to Living Water Ministries of the Palm Beaches, Inc., 137 Turnberry Drive, Atlantis, FL 33462.
