LWM Board Meeting Reminder - This Thursday

This is a reminder that our monthly Board Meeting is scheduled for THIS Thursday evening, July 15th, at Sonny's Bar-B-Q. The address is 1030 West Sugarman Highway (Rt. 80), Clewiston, FL 33440. We eat at 6:30 pm and start our meeting at 7:00 pm. This is a great way to keep up to date on all the business of Living Water Ministries. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Living Water Ministries Update

We are pleased to announce that as of May 14th, Beau Menard will go to Haiti as a Living Water Ministries Missionary and as one of our LWM supported Pastors. He has been over there at various times over the past year and will go over now in a full time capacity. His duties will include Pastoring the churches in T-Anse and in Baie-de-Henne. He will monitor and evaluate the schools supported by LWM to ensure God is honored and proclaimed, that the Bible is studied, that discipline is maintained and that all students receive a quality education. Beau will coordinate the efforts of all the LWM churches and manage the evangelistic outreach programs. We Praise God for sending this Haitian born, God loving man to work with us in Haiti. Please pray for Beau and help support his mission work.

Coming Soon . . . a new area on our website (www.livingwaterhaiti.org) that will highlight each of our Missionaries and Pastors. We will let you know when that becomes available.

We have a Team of people leaving Ft. Lauderdale on May 14th to go to Haiti. They will build a house for the Martin family who is making preparations to become full time missionaries. This Team will also minister to the people through Bible School, Evangelism and other programs that will demonstrate the love of Jesus to the people. There is room for more people to travel with them on this trip. Would you like to go along? All you need to do is respond to this email for more information.

Living Water supports several schools in Northwest Haiti where we also provide a nutritional lunch each day to over 1,400 students. The school in Anse Rouge, which you can find on Google Earth, has 288 students enrolled. The building is in extremely poor condition and is so desperately over crowded. As a result of the January earthquake, over 100 children have migrated to that area bringing the total enrollment to 400. About a year ago, LWM purchased land to build a new school that will accommodate the 400+ students. The Officials are telling us that the old building must be abandoned. We have a serious need to construct and complete that school before classes resume at the end of this summer.

We have the contractors who can build that facility. We need the financial resources to make it happen. We are asking for people or maybe one or two or even three churches to step forward to say they will cooperatively donate the $45,000 it will take to make this become a reality. God has gone before us by leading us to purchase the land. We know he is going before us now to see that the funds become available. These children deserve the opportunity to gain a good solid education that is grounded on the Word of God.

LWM Earthquake Update Message

Thank you all for your outpouring of concern for the desperate situation in Haiti. Because of your generosity our people on the ground in Port Au Prince are today (Tuesday) buying and distributing $5,000 worth of water, food, clothing, blankets and other needed supplies to those who are in critical need. We have also ordered a container with 275,000 pre-packaged vitamin and mineral enriched meals. This container is being picked up on Wednesday (1/20) in Minneapolis, Minnesota to arrive in Florida at the West Palm Beach Port by Friday. We have made arrangements to ship this container to the Port in St Marc in Haiti. We have a Mack dump truck ready to pick up the food to take it to Port Au Prince. A portion of the food will go to the Northwest to feed the refugees that are fleeing Port Au Prince and going to the countryside. This will cost LWM approximately $7,500. We thank God for using Living Water Ministries to reach out with His unconditional love. Please keep in mind
that this is not a short term problem for the Haitian people; they will be in a desperate situation for many, many months. Your continued support will help us reach out and meet some of those needs. Remember we are a totally volunteer based ministry and 100% of all donated money goes directly to Haiti.

Living Water Ministries - Haiti Earthquake Update

You are all probably hearing the horrible news about the earthquake in Haiti. Praise be to God, we have heard from our Pastor, who lives in Port Au Prince, Pastor Etienne. His house, in the Bon-Repos area, was badly damaged so he is staying at the David Heady compound. David Heady is one our trusted American missionaries who has developed a complex on the outskirts of PAP where he ministers to the people in many ways including a hospital for burn patients. Some of Pastor Etienne's family was hurt but he reports that they are alive. He told us that many people living in the area around his house died. Continue to pray for Pastor, his family and the many others we know and love in Haiti. The wives and children of some of our Pastor's in the NW live in the Port Au Prince area. We do not have any word on their situations at this time.

Living Water Ministries Update

This year has been a great year of many successes for the ministry thanks to the grace of God. And thanks to each of you who have supported Living Water. Your financial support has allowed us to feed 1,200+ children every school day; provide Christian schools in 7 villages; provide tuition, books and uniforms for 350 needy students; employ 32 teachers; operate 2 clinics; feed 200 mal-nourished patients; employ 3 nurses; support 7 churches; supply salires to 4 full time Pastors; and support many other projects. On one mission we witnessed the baptism of 3 people and shared in the joy of 30 people accepting Christ as their Savior during a revival in one village. This is only one example of our many experiences. How many more people have come to know the Lord during this past year? Only God knows the exact number.

Even though we are reflecting on the wonderful year that is coming to a close, we see God going before us into 2010 through the expansion of our current operations and the addition of new areas of ministry.

All donations made to Living Water Ministries of the Palm Beaches, Inc. are tax deductible. Donations can be made through our web site at : www.livingwaterhaiti.org or by mailing your check to 137 Turnberry Drive, Atlantis, FL 33462.

Living Water Ministries has had a presence in the mountain villages of Northwest Haiti for 23 years. All the work that is carried out in the US is performed by volunteers. There is no physical office and no building to maintain. There are no paid employees. All operational expenses are covered by our volunteers. Living Water Ministries pledges, and guarantees, that every dollar donated to the ministry is used solely for the work in Haiti.
